Cricketforce 2010

Over 57 volunteers turned up to Ross CC's Natwest CricketForce event this weekend and their invaluable hard work, good humour and generosity of spirt made for a fab weekend!

We're going to list our volunteers this year - in a bid to thank them personally! However, for starters - we had 25 men turn up, 10 ladies, 17 U18 boys and 5 U18 girls - well LIzzie is 11 and Laura is 12 and Poppy, Immi are still at junior school and Joseph is not a girl but a 4 year old boy - will be putting up his picture later - he's an excellent weeder!

Weather was fantastic - good drying wind for all that painting on Saturday and Sunday - and the sun even shone. Our colleagues from the Probation Service did a mega job on the old football pitches and said they had never been treated so well! How lovely! Big thanks to Hannah Vaughan at the ECB for providing extra t shirts for the Community Payback workforce - they were super delighted and wore them with pride on Saturday!

Volunteers ranged from 4 - 70. Margaret Regan, grandmother to U18 players is 70 and Joseph Tyler is 4 - but an excellent weeder - he was with his parents Matt and Jo and his younger brother - Michael, aged 4 months!

HUGE THANKS FROM NICK and all the CricketForce team
